The Negotiated Solutions retirement Fund (NSRF) is an Umbrella Providend Fund designed by NBC to accommodate the retirement funding needs of employers who want to avoid the costly complex and time consuming stand-alone retirement funds.

NSRF offers individual participating employers the normal retirement benefits available to members of a standalone fund as well as:

• Special rules per participating employer
• A risk benefit structure to suit its employees
• A choice of a money market,  capital protection, three inflation targeted and two globally balanced investment portfolios
• Member investment options and life stage modelling
• NBC Home Loans where agreed to by members and their employer. Up to 60% of a members after tax withdrawal benefit can be used as collateral.
• Credit life insurance to mitigate against the impact that death or permanent disability in service may have on the retirement savings of individual members who have outstanding NBC Home Loans

The employer and members remain involved in the fund by establishing a local advisory committee (LAC).  The LAC assists the Trustees by making recommendations on death claims and may choose suitable investment options from the range made available by the Trustees.
